Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a PROGRAMME MANAGER – FLOATING WIND for the Aberdeen site, to coordinate our support to the industry, supply chain, academia and innovators in the area of Floating Offshore Wind.

This role with lead the ongoing development, management and Governance of ORE Catapult's Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOW CoE) and work directly with internal and external stakeholders, supply chain, government and the broader industry.

What will I do?

  • Lead the ongoing development and delivery of projects and programmes within the FOW CoE
  • Lead a team of Project Managers and work closely with engineering, technology and analysis internally
  • Ensure projects and programmes are delivered to a high standard and in line with FOW CoE vision
  • Maintain the Programme Management Plan and ensure day-to-day activities are in line with this
  • Oversee a wide range of multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Have understanding of objectives, subject matter, key stakeholders, delivery approach, progress status and key risks within all projects in the programme
  • Act as primary point of contact for programme partners and stakeholders
  • Provide information, support and guidance and implement changes based on stakeholder feedback
  • Seek new opportunities for development of the programme, aligned with the programme vision and pre-agreed priority areas

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering or Technical subject, or equivalent experience
  • Professionally recognised project management qualification or certificate, or equivalent experience
  • Strong, proven experience in project and programme management within a relevant sector
  • Sound understanding of technology development and innovation management
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Extensive experience of engaging effectively with project teams, Executive and Senior Managers, stakeholders, partners and consultants
  • Planning, analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate issues
  • Proven experience of successfully leading multi-disciplined teams in delivery of projects and programmes
  • Experience in negotiating and managing commercial contracts

  • Around £58k salary, dependent on experience and industry knowledge
  • Based in Aberdeen with time working from home
