With primary locations in Glasgow and Blyth, Northumberland, ORE Catapult is the UK’s leading technology innovation and research centre for offshore renewable energy.  We are delivering the UK’s largest clean growth opportunity by accelerating the creation and growth of UK companies in offshore renewable energy. Our unique facilities, research and engineering capabilities bring together industry and academia and drive innovation, focusing on three main areas: testing and validating offshore renewable energy technologies; research & innovation; improving the operational performance of the existing fleet of offshore renewable energy infrastructure.

With an expanding volume of programmes in collaboration with partners from across the UK, Europe and beyond, we now have a need for an experienced Project Communications Manager to join our established and successful Marketing and Communications Team, to ensure that we capture the value and impact of these activities through consistent, impactful communications targeting a wide range of stakeholders.

As a key member of the Marketing & Communications Directorate, the Project Communications Manager will deliver creative and impactful communications campaigns and promotions, using the full communications mix, for a broad range of projects that reflect the positive impact of ORE Catapult’s activities. Many of these will be of a highly technical nature and target very specific audiences; others will have broad and cross-sector appeal. What they will all have in common is that they will be at the leading edge of innovation, driving down the cost of energy from renewables and creating UK value.

What are my key responsibilities?

  • Liaising with ORE Catapult’s technical teams to identify, develop and deliver highly engaging content across multiple channels to communicate the impact of numerous innovation and research programmes.

  • Proactive external stakeholder management

  • Supporting the Head of Communications to develop and deliver communications plans to support ORE Catapult’s strategy and delivery plans.

  • Supporting the Marketing & Communications team to design and produce key ORE Catapult publications.

  • Supporting the organisation and execution of ORE Catapult and other industry events.

  • Ensuring creativity and innovation is at the heart of content creation.

  • Ensuring consistency, quality and adherence to ORE Catapult editorial standards across all publications delivered.
