Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is recruiting a PROJECT ENGINEER - HV TEST TEAM for the site in Blyth to increase our testing capacity for future projects.

The role will provide engineering direction to commercial projects and be responsible for completing project planning and application of process to a given test programme.  

What will I do?

  • Collaborate with project partners to deliver technical project governance and administration
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams, management and business development colleagues, on the aspects of HV testing
  • Work closely with the HV Test team and across members of other workstreams
  • Deliver commercial projects and testing activities
  • Develop and present new project ideas internally and to the wider industry
  • Support the preparation of project forecasts, including P6 plans and monthly financial reporting
  • Support scheduling of activities and milestones for the test teams and update plan
  • Track and communicate project status and metrics
  • Capture project meeting notes and circulate to team

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Engineering subject or equivalent experience
  • Some Project Management or Assistant Management experience
  • Good level of experience with HV test techniques and equipment
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Proven experience in the successful delivery of technical engineering tasks
  • Experience of working in OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 environments
  • Experience of delivering services within the framework of a recognised quality standard
